Notice more, change less

I said that at the start of the year and I still like the idea. And continued kudos to OnYourFeet for inspiring me.

here's a companion saying, "Go slow to go fast."

Yet again you've captured a thought I hadn't quite articulated. I was thinking about the impact of 3.3 Billion mobile phones on the planet and what another Billion might mean in those rural areas. Is it a good thing and so on and so forth. But I'm also reminded of the idea that was shared with me by a friend when I was rushing for a flight. A Buddhist she told me that when really pressed for time. Go extra extra slow. It works too.

Hi Charles: I've heard a similar story about Gandhi, who would always meditate at the start of his day.

One morning, his advisers rushed to him in a panic about how many things had to be done that day. "Ah," said Gandhi, "I shall need to meditate twice as long then."
