Going to Banff

I've just booked a great adventure for November. I'm off to the Applied Improv Conference in Banff, Canada. I skipped the conference last year, but the combination of a horde of Improv fans plus the Canadian Rockies is too good to miss. I'm going to add on a trip elsewhere in North America as well I reckon.

Ahem. Asheville, North Carolina, is gorgeous that time of year, what with the leaves turning in the mountains and all.... (looking forward to meeting you in Banff!)

See you there - and I'll have a couple of other Aussies in tow too. And greetings from Armenia where I've had to draw on my open space skills AND improv - lots to talk about in Banff

Cheers Viv

just spent a few minutes here catching up with your mind Johnnie watching you shadowboxing with your superego...and left me wondering if 'applied improvisation' isn't an oxmoron?

Maybe you should flip the idea: an 'Improvised Application' Conference might be more useful...

A semi-serious point here somewhere that improv' may be better thought of not as a tools, but a way of conditioning that improves other tools i.e. your decision-making and your personal resource-management to be more effective and cathartic...

Come to think about it, maybe this is a useful web 2.0 way to think about it - behavioural mash-ups - could be quite liberating...
