Improvisational Writing

It's been a couple of weeks since my last post - I've been travelling, including attending the Applied Improv Network Conference in Chicago. One of the highlights was Denzil Meyers' creative writing session, based on his format of Adventures in Micro Fiction.

Viv's done a good precis. One of the most interesting ideas was the Verbal Chase. Denzil offered a couple of prompting questions - I remember then a little differently from Viv:

It's cold outside. What time is it?
You hear a noise behind you. What happens next?

You start with whatever pops first into mind from this and write from there. Worth a try for anyone with writer's block!
