I’m Johnnie Moore, and I help people work better together

There’s an interesting discussion on Roland’s post about avoiding boredom at innovation conferences. In a comment Roland suggests thinking of innovation as a process “that helps knit the organisation together (both inside and out).” Another commenter Colin Beveridge suggests changing the job titles from “innovation” to “integration”.

I kinda like this line of thought. Helping people knit together has echoes of craftsmanship. Knitting could be the intentional following a recipe kind, or it could knitting the way wounds heal.

I like the thought of taking the pressure of the golden egg (the idea!) and thinking about the golden goose (the social process by which the idea comes to life).
